5/28/26 – Thursday Night Ride (Dubbs Grub)
First Weekend Sponsor Ride – This Sunday!
We’re really looking forward to this because there’s something for every gravel rider! Plus, a cold beer at an Elk Creek Cafe group brunch sounds like the perfect finish.
We’ve worked together with our friends at unPAved to bring a gravel adventure to PVPP with a special Sunday, May 31st gravel ride! And in true UnPAved fashion, you can ‘Choose Your Adventure’! We’ve planned a moderate ride for those just getting into gravel or getting their legs back. And a hard ride (which we did last year) for those ready to take on the toughest climbs. We’ll meet back up at the end for Elk Creek Brunch and to gab about how much we love gravel!
Check out the two route options and RSVP yourself and your friends!
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for coming out last week! It was still a little cool, but we were glad to have 63 riders again. This Thursday is looking great at 71 degrees and mostly sunny skies! We’re welcoming back Dubbs Grub food truck, Elk Creek Beer and Village Mercantile NA drinks.
Keep an eye on our event calendar as there are lots of cycling events outside of PVPP listed, such as the Central Cycling Classic road ride, GRIT Gravel Grinder (NEW! USA Cycling Junior Categories!), IronMan (CVIM and State College Cycling Club are looking for volunteers!), Greenwood Furnace MTB Race, and Millheim Carnival and pedal pull. PLUS all of our weekend rides with our amazingly generous sponsors.
This weeks safety tips:
Read our full tip sheet about riding in Penns Valley. Here is a quick list that stands out for this week’s ride.
- ✅ Stay in your lane, there are several hill climbs and blind crests of hills.
- ✅ Stay to the left. Leave room for your fellow cyclists and cars to pass.
- ✅ Slower riders may want to start in the back. The first climb is less than a mile from the start on Long Lane.
