5/30/24 – Two Valley Loops

What’s with all the Rules?!

I know you’ve seen and heard us preach safety before, but it doesn’t seem to be sinking in…so here we go again.

As most of you know the goal of this club is to raise money for Penns Valley groups, which all of you have been great supporters. Collectively we’ve all raised over $23,000, which is beyond anything we could have ever imagined. And we’re not finished. Unfortunately, if someone was to get seriously hurt it would ruin our efforts.

We’re not a serious riding club, but we all need to take safe riding seriously. We’ve been lucky over the years having had no major accidents. However, we’ve seen some close calls. And my stomach is in knots each week watching some of the bad moves. We need to work together to ensure safer rides. Above all else, STAY IN YOUR LANE!! And please read the rest of our safety card so you are aware of the RULES FOR OUR VALLEY when it comes to riding safely.

Hi Everyone!

Looks like a beautiful night for a ride. We’ll visit 2 Valleys on this route beginning with a ride through The Narrows. The Millheim Fire Company will follow us through to try to keep as few cars from passing us as possible.

If planning to attend, please RSVP so Elk Creekside knows how many to expect!

Park: in the field behind the Millheim Fire Company.

Bring: any bike (yes, ebikes welcome!), a helmet, a water bottle, and a great attitude!

Pay: a requested donation per ride during registration (from 5:15p-6p). Pay via cash ($3/rider) or CC ($3.25/rider). We can additional donations either way, as well.

We leave PROMPTLY at 6pm.

Everyone needs to sign a waiver (once a year) and register with us each week. PRINT HERE.

The Route:

This ride has the best of both Valleys taking you into Madisonburg and then back through Millheim/Coburn.

NEED A SHORT-CUT? Only ride the Madisonburg Loop or the Millheim Loop.

For those that have not ridden with us, these rides are at your own pace. We mark the course, but it’s smart to download the route through the Happy Valley Ride with GPS link provided in case rain washes our markings away. Call Roy/the Support Truck number if you are lost or can’t finish your ride for ANY reason. 814-360-0243.
