6/11/26 – 4th Annual Miles for Mark, Benefits Millheim Pool (Panini Truck)

6/11/26 – 4th Annual Miles for Mark, Benefits Millheim Pool (Panini Truck)

Miles for Mark is an annual celebration of life for Pedals and Pints founding member Mark Rupert. The evening is about riding, remembering Mark, and raising money for local charities — something he was truly proud of. After the ride, we hold a raffle with prizes from sponsors, bike shops, and local organizations. You can purchase as many tickets as you’d like. This year, money collected benefits the Millheim Pool, home of the Penns Valley Penguins Swim Team, which is currently undergoing major repairs. PLEASE RSVP! In case we need to invite a 2nd food truck for the crowd. –> Can’t make it? Direct donations to the pool can be made anytime here: https://givebutter.com/bring-our-team-home-save-the-millheim-pool-6jnpal

About “Mark” in Miles for Mark.

Mark — founding member of PVPP, Roy’s brother, and our support driver — loved cycling year-round, logging more hours than most. He rode to work, to Elk Creek, and to meet up with friends and family even in winter. Mark passed away three years ago. Each June, we ride in his honor and raise a glass to his legacy, positivity, laughter, and friendship. Never met Mark? That’s okay — join us and raise one anyway! We know he would have loved meeting you.

Feel free to turn around any time! Please be aware that cell service is spotty from Coburn to the Bridge. Safety Reminders

Whether you’re new to our group or a seasoned rider, here are reminders of the BIG 3 Safety Tips when riding with Pedals and Pints.

  • Ride no more than 2 wide. And leave room for other riders and cars pass safely.
  • STAY IN YOUR LANE – can’t stress this one enough. We see people passing in the wrong lane on crests of hills and around bends way too often.
  • Communicate. Yell “Car back” to let riders know a car is approaching from behind, “Car up” when a car is approaching from a side street or head on”, “Passing on left”…when you’re passing. See an upcoming pothole or other danger? Point and say what it is.
