6/19/25 – Thursday Night Ride (Hearth + Harvest)
NO PIEROGI TRUCK TONIGHT
P is for Pierogi Night!
Hi Everyone!
Thank you all for coming out for our Annual Miles for Mark Ride! We hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Congratulations to all of our winners and a big thanks to our sponsors and contributors. And Elk Creek Cafe for serving beers and their generous contribution.
This week is PIEROGI TRUCK week! Hearth + Harvest will be joining us. We’ve been excited to welcome this cute little truck full of Polish delights to the stage!
Never Underestimate the Power of the Pierogi.
Yes, you can invite your non-bicycling friends. But with up to 100 hungry riders returning, I’d suggest they show up and order a little after 6pm while we’re out riding.
PVPP Thursday Night
You’ll earn your pierogis this week. The route is a hilly one so if you’re not quite ready for it, there are several short-cuts and bailouts that we’ll list below.
Details
PVPP provides a welcoming environment for all riders, any bike and speed.
- Arrive between 5:15pm and 6pm (park in the field behind Millheim Fire Company).
- We leave promptly at 6pm for our marked 17-22 mile ride (with short-cut options).
- A PVPP support truck will be available to aid riders.
Important Safety Note:
With lots of hills this week, PLEASE stay in your lane (especially around curves/turns and crests of hills), leave room for other riders and cars to pass, realign to single file when cars are passing, and communicate. This can be tough when you’re grinding up a hill, but please do your best. Thanks!
What to bring:
- Any pedal powered bike (road, gravel, mountain, recumbent, electric, etc.)
- A helmet (this is a MUST)
- Water bottle
- $3 Donation – Credit Cards accepted (proceeds are donated to local PV charities at the end of the season)
- An appetite! Along with Jay pouring Elk Creek beers, we’ll have different food trucks each week—this week is Hearth and Harvest! You are also welcome to head inside to Elk Creek Cafe.
PLEASE RSVP, especially if you plan to eat from the Food Truck!
Sign the Waiver Online (must be signed once per year). Those under 18 are welcome to join us – they’ll need to sign the paper waiver at registration along with a guardian.
