ROUTE UPDATE DUE TO AIR QUALITY.
We wanted to let you know that we’re keeping an eye on the air quality report. This is the situation at 9:30AM on Thursday, June 29th, but the forecast indicates that it should lift a bit later in the day.
NOTE: It’s your responsibility to know how the air quality may effect you. Please be sure to have Roy’s number in your phone (available at registration) in case you or another rider needs picked up.
If you choose not to ride tonight, you are still welcome to join us for social time, beer and food! Elk Creek may move us inside due to air quality. (BONUS: they have a Ramen special inside!)
We’ve modified the route so that it’s flat out and back. You are welcome to ride the original route, but this is the route we will mark.

Ice Cream Ride!!! Riddle’s has opened their doors on Thursdays now that school is out and summer has officially started. But first…
We need your help! We were passed over for a grant this year that we felt that we qualified for, but maybe we don’t! So, we’re looking for your feedback through this 5 minute survey to understand better how Pedals and Pints has influenced your choices in visiting and using resources in the Greater Penns Valley area. We’ll reapply next year dependent on the results! Thanks in advance for your time!
Now back to the ride… We know you’ve been waiting for this one so we’re easing back into the club rides with our route taking us to Riddle’s Ice Cream Shop in Spring Mills.
This is a 18.9 mile ride with a few hills on the first half of the route to earn your cone! One BIG safety tip – please stay in your lane as you’re cresting the hills, especially if passing someone. We’ll head up Long Lane, down Paradise, and over the hills of Beaver Dam. We’ll take the flat route back so that you can truly enjoy your Riddle’s treat!
The weather looks good for this Thursday. Bring a few dollars for ice cream and join us!
Notes: Deb Rittleman will be on hand to take photos this week! Just ride and smile! And please keep in mind that we always have extra water bottles and helmets at the sign in table if you forget yours.
See you Thursday!

Right here in Millheim, we have an amazing coffee shop with a welcoming atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious drinks, food and treats that recently reopened as The Meandering Mallard! If you haven’t visited, it’s worth a stop!
They’re open DAILY! 7am – 2pm. So if you’re out and about on a bike ride in the morning hours, it’s a great place to meet for coffee before, or have brunch upon your return…any day of the week! Swing around back to enter and keep your bikes in eyesight.
And tell them Penns Valley Pedals and Pints sent you!
