7/24/25 – Thursday Night Ride (Gourmet Griddle)
Hi Everyone!
It’s been an amazing turnout this summer! We’re so glad to see new faces among our regulars and everyone enjoying the beautiful Penns Valley routes. As you all know, this club isn’t about speed, it’s about getting out on two wheels with friends, or meeting new ones, and taking in the natural beauty of our area along the way…while benefiting the non-profits in our area, and maybe getting a workout in!
This week, keep that in mind. They’re calling for 90 degree weather and with the pavement baking in the sun all day, the ride will be hot. We’re offering a “Choose Your Own Adventure” route this week where you can pick and choose legs of your route based on how you’re feeling. Read the options below to get a sense of the route you may want to take. Stay hydrated! We’ll have ice cold water to refill your waterbottles at the support truck.
Gourmet Griddle Food Truck
We welcome a NEW Food Truck this week – Gourmet Griddle! Whether you’re craving a Burger w/ Bacon Jam or Grilled Pineapple ( I like mine with lettuce and tomato…), Chicken Sandwich, or veggie friendly bowl of goodness, they’ve got you covered…and don’t forget the side of fries!
Important Safety Note:
The course takes you along Route 45. The cars can definitely sneak up on you. So please stay in the shoulder and look before you cross. And as always, stay in your lane and realign to single file as cars approach in either direction.

This Week’s Route Options
Option 1: Bower Up (Fully Marked 18.8 miles)
Option 2: Woodward Views – Skip the turn onto Tattletown (and a few hills) and turn left at the next intersection onto Pine Creek Rd. You’ll merge into the Bower Up route soon after (Partially Marked 17.4 miles).
Skip the extra hills: In addition, if you aren’t feeling great in the heat, skip the left turn onto Bower Hollow (in both routes). Stay on Pine Creek Rd for a shadier, less hilly route. Ride out to the Woodward Post Office at the intersection of 45 and then turn around and head back. You’ll rejoin the group along Pine Creek.
