Sponsor Highlight
Nittany Mountain Biking Association
Nittany Mountain Biking Association (NMBA) is dedicated to the protection of mountain bike trails in the Centre Region. We come from all areas of central PA, all ages and walks of life, and are connected by our common love of mountain biking and the land.
NMBA has a wide range of ways people can get involved whether you are an occasional vacation rider, a mountain bike racer, hiker, horse trail rider, birder or trail enthusiast of any other kind. Want to get involved? Become a member and/or donate!
Check out the TRAIL WORK schedule and sign up to volunteer. NOTE: Today’s meet up has changed to the Tussey Ski Area Lot, not Harvest Fields.
Harvest Fields Community Trails
Harvest Fields Community Trails and the Hamer Skills Park are NMBA projects with new riders in mind. Kids and adults alike can hone their mountain biking skills and build confidence toward riding more competently in Rothrock State Forest. Check out the awesome footage from local videographer Dronediculous to see what it’s all about! AND FIND MORE INFO HERE.
Thursday’s Ride
We’ve got a rolling adventure taking you into Spring Mills this week. We’ll ride both Upper and Lower George’s Valley Roads with options to EXTEND or SHORTEN your route.
NOTE: We’ve switched from spray chalk to sidewalk chalk, which is a little harder to see. It also may rain Thursday afternoon, making it more difficult for us to mark the route in time. Sooo… Be sure to REVIEW THE MAP, and/or download it so you know where you’re going.
REMINDERS:
Park: Behind the Millheim Fire Co. in the grass.
Bring: A bike (any will do, even e-bikes!), helmet, and water bottle; $3 donation requested (cash or credit accepted)
Waiver: You must sign a waiver once each year. Download ahead/Print here.
Ride Smart! Single file as cars approach/pass, leave room for other riders to pass, stay to the right cresting hills and around curves. STAY IN YOUR LANE!
We’ll cheers with beers Elk Creekside afterwards. Food will be available from the trailer. You are also welcome to pre-order from the main menu for pickup inside at the bar after the ride (approximately 7:30pm depending on your speed).
Thanks and see you Thursday!

Upper-Lower Georges Valley Route
THIS IS A NEW ROUTE! Download the 18.8 Mile Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47690967
Route Extension (21.2 miles): On Upper George’s Valley Rd extend your loop by skipping the Harter Rd turn. Instead, stay straight for 1.2 miles and turn left on Reeder Rd. You’ll then turn left onto Lower Georges Valley Rd and return to the course. (21.2 miles)
Shortcut (15.1 miles): At the end of Beaver Dam, turn Right onto Penns Creek Road, skipping the Upper/Lower Georges Valley Rd loop. (14.2 miles)
For those that have not ridden with us, these rides are at your own pace. We mark the course, but it’s smart to download the route through the Happy Valley Ride with GPS link provided in case rain washes our markings away. Call Roy/the Support Truck number if you are lost or can’t finish your ride for ANY reason. 814-360-0243
