We’re riding a great route this week through Aaronsburg and along beautiful Bower Hollow Road. The route will also take us on Rt. 45 East twice. Please be careful, especially at the bottom of the hill on Rt 45 while turning left onto Cemetery Road.
I’ll be away this week so we’re letting Jim loose with the spray chalk to mark the route! I trust my fellow board member will do a fine job! Map is below to download from Happy Valley Ride w/ GPS.
Jim will also be manning the support vehicle should you need assistance. Grab his number at registration.
PLEASE RIDE SINGLE FILE TO THE RIGHT OF THE WHITE LINE ON ROUTE 45.
Notes: Cancellations due to weather will be announced by 4pm the day of via email, social media and on the website.
The route will be marked with YELLOW arrows this week.
See you Thursday!
Here’s the Happy Valley Ride w/ GPS route for July 27th:
Shortcut: You can shorten this route by staying straight on Pine Creek Rd (not turning left on Bower Hollow). Go to Woodward where the road ends at Rt45, turn around and return to the route coming back.
You’re welcome to ride a non-designated route. We’ll still respond to support calls. If possible, please choose a route in the same general area so that all can easily be assisted.
Paul is at it again!
Paul Rito, and friend John, left July 5th from Burlington, VT on yet another EPIC bike touring adventure through Montreal, Quebec, and the Gaspé Peninsula. It will take between 6 and 8 weeks depending on his route back home. They began Day 1 via a fishing boat (who needs a ferry?!) and it’s only gotten better since! Follow his daily blog for all of the amazing details of where they’ve traveled and the wonderful people (and dogs) they’ve met along the way.
P.S. If you missed Paul’s adventure last year across the US and back, you can find it here, as well!
