7/30/26 – Thursday Night Ride (Twisted Whisk)
Woodward Cave Tour + Ride!
We’ll meet on the Meandering Mallard Coffee Shop back patio for a 10:15am ride to Woodward Cave (arrive early to grab a coffee/breakfast before the ride!). We’ll then head out as a group for a 6-mile ride in time for the 11am FREE Woodward Cave tour. One of the largest caverns in PA, Woodward Cave has been in formation for over 400 Million years and is home to the largest stalagmite in PA and over 1000 bats hibernating there in the winter (a growing population!).
Woodward Cave gave us a free tour last year and it was a HUGE hit among the 40 riders in attendance! Don’t miss this very COOL opportunity (it’s a constant 48 degrees in the cave!). Bring a sweatshirt. This is a live cave, so appropriate closed-toe shoes are advised. Get Details and RSVP here.

- Friday night FREE Summer Concert Series from 6-8pm w/ FREE cave tours for kids 12U w/ an adult ticket.
- Saturday Farmers Market (bring cash for sweet treats!).

We had a blast at this past weekend’s Ice Cream Ride! Thanks Brookside Bikes for being such great hosts for the event.
We’re going to ride to Woodward this week before returning for the Twisted Whisk Food Truck! We’re also looking at great weather for this week’s events – 77 degree 🌤 mostly sunny Thursday night (and an 83 degree 🌤 mostly sunny Saturday for the Woodward Cave Free Tour Ride!).
Please be aware that this week is the Spring Mills Carnival and Parade. Rt 45 should be open on your way to and from Pedals and Pints, but there may be a little extra traffic around Spring Mills.

7/30 ROUTE Download the PVPP – Apple Butter Backwards Loop (19.7 miles)
Shorten it: Skip the left turn onto Quarry – go straight instead. When you get to the Post Office in Woodward at then intersection of Rt 45, turn around and go back the way you came. Short-cuts not marked. (16 miles)
This Week’s Ride Details:
- PVPP provides a welcoming environment for all riders, any bike and speed.
- Arrive between 5:15pm and 6pm (park in the field behind Millheim Fire Co.).
- We leave promptly at 6pm for our marked ride (short-cuts not marked)

What to Bring:
- Any bicycle (road, gravel, mountain, recumbent, electric, etc.)
- A helmet (this is a MUST)
- Water bottle (highly recommended)
- $3 Donation for the planning effort – Credit Cards accepted (proceeds are donated to local PV charities at the end of the season)
- An appetite! Twisted Whisk is feeding us! Elk Creek is pouring beers 🍻.
