Tussey Mountainback 2026

The 26th Annual Tussey Mountainback, start/finish @ Tussey Mountain, 301 Bear Meadows Rd, Boalsburg, PA 16827, combines varied terrain in a unique natural setting for an unforgettable solo or team run. The race has become a favorite event of the year for both recreational and competitive runners.

Tussey Mountainback Distances:

50M | 50M Relay | 50k | Half Marathon

Course:

The races take place on mostly unpaved roads in Rothrock
State Forest. About the last 5 miles of the 50 miler is on pavement, downhill. All distances begin and end with 0.6 miles of pavement. The terrain includes uphill, level, and downhill grades, with shaded and open segments
 and some overlook vistas. The 50M loop course takes in Whipple Dam State Park, Alan Seeger 
Natural Area, Penn-Roosevelt State Park, Colyer Lake, and Bear Meadows Natural Area.

Saturday, October 24, 2026 Schedule:

6am-8am: Packet Pickup at the ski lodge
7am: 50 miler individual start
7am: 50 km individual start
8am: Relay wave one
8:30am: Relay wave two
9am: Relay wave three
9:30am: Relay wave four
10am: Half-Marathon start
1pm-afternoon: Awards hourly, on the hour
1pm-8pm: Food and drinks at the beer garden
